What makes this venue different? A little bit special? It has to be these AMAZING grounds! The beauty of the rolling hills and ponds and scenery is just breathtaking and ever more so when there is the most beautiful sunset! Emma and Luke married in the gorgeous room upstairs, with the wooden beams and twinkling lights it was a perfect ceremony, with little pageboy/Best Man Rylan, their 6 year old son as the ring bearer the cuteness level was through the roof!
They had a giant bouncy castle outside so the little ones could bounce the night away and have a giggle together, which they all certainly did. Emma and Luke also allowed me to get a little bit quirky with some of their couple shots when I asked them to canoodle in the tiny little footwell at the bottom of the stairs haha
All taken at the gorgeous East Horton Golf Club
The Beast from the East couldn't keep me away from this beautiful wedding! Gorgeous Beth and her lovely Groom Chris were a teensy bit worried they might have to postponed their special day due to the potential of being snowed in! luckily the worst of the snow was over and the amber weather warning had been lifted, I live very close to Hillier's Garden Centre myself, so packed my strong snow boots in the car just in case I couldn't get there driving and would have to walk (thank goodness my trusty Ibiza found the roads perfectly un-icey! haha) It was a lovely mini wedding with these two, no evening celebrations, just perfect, happy, relaxed daytime fun with their most special of friends and family. I loved every moment, these two were so warm and welcoming I felt like I was with friends and especially loved the left over snow which made from some stunning backdrops.
Every single wedding reception has their own style, their own ideas and designs, all beautiful and all perfectly them, I just love this little part of a wedding, just before the guests are welcomed into the wedding reception room at Jermyns House for the first time, the tables laid to perfection and stamped with the couple's time and love and style. I just love being able to capture them for my lovely couples, to look back on with a smile, as this level of pristine rarely lasts long once the food has arrived! haha)
This set is a very bitter-sweet for me, it's sweet because it was a fabulous training day up in Yorkshire at Ponden Hall, for The Secret Retreat - wedding photography workshop, we learnt lots of new things that I really can't wait to apply to my future weddings.
But this excitement was tinged with such bitterness, or more accurately sadness that I feel when I look at these shots, the soul-deep ache that it creates within, whilst I was there in Yorkshire, birth place of my Daddy Bear, shooting and learning, he was going to sleep for the last time :'( I drove the 5.5 hours home with my head filled with ideas I couldn't wait to share with him, my own personal web designer/graphic consultant/business confidante/PC fixer/tax return helper, giver of my first SLR camera, teacher of photoshop, bestest dad and friend and guide, I was greeted only by the news he had gone, the day I took these was the day he left us and looking at them fills me with so much hurt :'(
I Feel so VERY privileged to have captured all these fabulous 2017 weddings, SO many gorgeous couples, stunning venues, details to simply die for (or at least shoot for!) I loved every single one for so many different reasons, but here is a little collection of my 2017 Brides and Grooms rocking their day.
What an amazing wedding we had for the gorgeous Mark and Mark (it was very easy to remember the grooms' names at this wedding!) It started off a tiny bit drizzly but luckily the rain held off for us to go have a wander through the old parts of Southampton, the gorgeous walls really lend themselves to couple portraits and these handsome chaps were perfect models for me.
The ceremony was beautiful and made even more special that the Groom's adorable 2 year old twin nephews were the ring bearers, both little lads performed their ring bearing duties perfectly, it was such a sweet moment to be able to capture for them.
Looking at this beautiful sunny day you wouldn't believe this was an October wedding, the sun was golden and glowing and the sky crystal clear and it was warm! We had such a beautiful day for Marlon and Charlotte's wedding at Solent Hotel, I loved every single minute of this beautiful grey and yellow themed day and loved capturing it for this amazing couple, sneaking off for some couple shots at the stunning Titchfield Abbey.
Hello everyone, thank you for stopping by, and a great big welcome too. Here you will find my blog with lots of little snippets of my everyday photography life. Enjoy!
